Favorite Pet Tips

Cooking with essential oils is a great way to add some healthy benefits to what you eat.We're willing to almost anything for them - especially when it comes to health care. Here are some tips on using Young Living Essential Oils and essential oil based products with our pets.

Fleas & Pets

To help to make your cats flea free, put 1 drop of Purification in the palm of your hand; rub cat's neck & paws. Do monthly.

Hot spots & allergies

My son's dog had a sore spot on his backside that was not healing. I gave him some lavender oil. I suggested that he put the oil on the spot and to "seal" it with Animal Scents Ointment. This would help to keep the sore covered and for the essential oil to aid in the healing.

Within a few days there was a noticeable difference and in a week the sore was healed and the hair was growing back

My Home Spa Tip

Lavender Bath Salt Recipe

In 1 cup of Epsom Salt or Sea Salt

add

2-3 drops of Lavender oil.

Add 1/4 cup to water in the tub. Soak and enjoy

My Massage Tip

Massage Away Stress

One great way to have stress reduction is massage with a stress reducing essential oil, like lavender or even Young Livings essential oil blend of Peace & Calming. I take these to my masseuse when I get a massage and I feel so relaxed after.

You can apply the oils to the soles of your feet and finish by breathing in the aroma that is left over on your hands. This may help to reduce stress too.

My Recipe

Apricot Wolfberry Oatmeal

  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup frozen (unsweetened) apple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup dried wolfberries
  • 1 tablespoon NingXia Red
  • 1-1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats

Bring water and apple juice concentrate to a boil. Add oats, apricots, and wolfberries; simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed. Add NingXia Red and remove from heat and cover; let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Makes 2 servings.

Put a drop of your oil of chose, in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together clockwise, cup your hands ofter your nose and take several deep breaths. Wait a few seconds. Can you feel a change?
